By Roger Stone The rush by the left to brand Arizona shooter Jared Lee Loughner - as an anti-government right - winger was reminiscent of a similar media ploy in 1963 where the "climate of hate" and the extreme right of Dallas were initially blamed for the assassination of JFK. That is, until J. Edgar Hoover revealed that Lee Harvey Oswald was a Communist and defector to Russia who had belonged to the "Fair Play for Cuba Committee". That was the official version anyway. In their rush to indict Sarah Palin and paint the gunman as a Tea Party kook, the left has ignored hard evidence that Jared Loughner is an anti-Bush lefty who blames Bush and Cheney for orchestrating the attack on America on 9/11 as a pretext for war, thought Bush and Cheney were war criminals, opposed both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars and said he had a "right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical". Doesn't sound like a free-market right-winger to me. Jared Lee Loughner was a nut who acted violently not because of free political discourse in America about the sorry condition of our country and the failed policies that got us here but because he is deranged. Palin haters bitching about her using the term "blood libel are just "playing the religion card". That libel against Jews (drinking blood of Christian babies) is as heinous as the libel that Palin is responsible for the violence and deaths in Tucson. This is a media manufactured non-issue. Their argument is so ridiculous it's transparent, partisan and they seek only to score political points out of tragedy.
