The Stanford Review has reported that a whistleblower provided definitive proof in the form of non-public records showing millions of dollars flowing to Stanford from Chinese state-linked companies, political elites, and entities connected to Beijing’s influence networks.
According to the student-run paper, the records include funding tied to Chinese firms such as Huawei, BOE Technology Group, State Grid Corporation of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tencent-linked entities, and others. The report also cites donations from individuals connected to Chinese political bodies, including the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and United Front-related organizations.
Stanford says it follows federal disclosure rules and conducts due diligence on gifts, but the public still cannot clearly see who is funding which researchers or for what purpose. The concern is especially serious because Stanford works with the Defense Department, the
Intelligence Community, and federally funded research-security programs, while also hosting major policy institutions like the Hoover Institution. American universities have spent years drifting left, tolerating anti-American radicalism, and accepting massive foreign money with limited transparency.
This is not misguided behavior. These are leftist academics selling their own country out with a smile on their face. Because of their treachery, the Red Menace is gaining influence over research, policy networks, and the next generation of American leaders.
Congress should ban these types of foreign gifts and contracts in our nation’s universities. All those caught collaborating to sell out our infrastructure to China or any other foreign nation should be charged with treason and face appropriate punishments.
