CNN’s data, walked by their pollster Harry Enten, shows 71 percent of Democrats saying they are certain to vote in the 2026 midterms and 71 percent of MAGA Republicans saying the same. Enten also noted that Trump’s share of the MAGA vote in 2024 was 99 percent and that support for the administration among its base has not cratered.
It still remains strong. The midterm myth is that the president’s coalition stays home and the opposition goes red hot. This slice of CNN’s own research does not support the myth. They are not known to fabricate pro-Trump talking points. They want Democrats not to be complacent. The race is still up in the air. Our actions will determine who wins the nation or not.
Take the number from the network that did not want to give it. Then spend October as if 71 percent actually participates. We must be working to reach out to the base to make sure that they show up. Democrats are better at this than Republicans historically, but they do not have to be. It is not rocket science. It only takes political will.
Matching Democratic intensity is the floor, not the trophy. Equal motivation only matters if the MAGA political machine that found those voters in 2024 still has their numbers and makes sure they show up and vote.
We must rise up and be the difference in the election. Nothing is stopping you from hitting those doors and making those phone calls. The time is now. Let’s get active and grab the victory that is at our fingertips.
