WHY ENRIQUE TARRIO DESERVED A PARDON

Enrique Tarrio

President Donald Trump has pardoned the head of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, along with 1,500 other victims of the elaborate setup and fed-surrection of January 6. Tarrio’s indictment by prosecutors in D.C. was a travesty from the beginning; he was indicted on the basis of a document sent to him on his Telegram account by an FBI informant, which Tarrio never actually opened. The source of the document and the fact that Tarrio never actually opened it were among the tidbits of information not provided to the grand jury that decided to indict the Proud Boys leader.

Since being freed, Tarrio has asserted in multiple interviews that federal prosecutors pressured him relentlessly to testify falsely that I was the mastermind of what we now know was a government orchestrated riot at the U.S. Capitol. It’s an egregious lie; one that assholes like Seth Abramson and others of his ilk repeated endlessly.

Let me say yet again: Any claim that I knew in advance about, participated in, or condoned any illegal action on January 6, is categorically false, and there is no email, phone call, text message, encrypted message, or group chat that provides any evidence to the contrary. As Reuters reported on August, 20, 2021, the FBI investigated and “found no evidence” of an organized conspiracy to storm the U.S. Capitol, and specifically found that neither Alex Jones or I were involved in any such endeavor.

The New York Times breathless exposé that I was included in an encrypted chat group which included some of those later charged turned out to be yet another nothing-burger; the text thread included no discussion of illegal activities and no comments from me. Not surprising. The “journalist” who wrote this garbage worked for one of George Soros’ front groups before landing at the now-fully-discredited New York Times.

NBC News was guilty of the worst use of “Guilt by Association.” Although I never left my hotel grounds on January 6th, I was outside of the hotel entrance early that morning and posed for selfies with dozens of patriots visiting Washington to protest what they correctly viewed as a stolen election. While it is true that a voluntary security detail that included members of the Oath Keepers could be seen in the background, an exhaustive investigation by federal prosecutors could turn up no evidence of my knowledge or involvement in any illegal activity on January 6. In fact, in the sworn testimony of Joshua James of the Oath Keepers, who was convicted of seditious conspiracy, in the administrative trial of New York City police officer Salvatore Greco he specifically denied that I had any knowledge or involvement in the Oath Keepers’ activities on January 6. Somehow The New York Times failed to report this.

Just the same wild assertions about my involvement in events I know nothing about and am not connected to including any knowledge or connection to a “War Room” at the Willard Hotel (The Washington Post reported that three sources confirmed that I had nothing whatsoever to do with any such operation) to delay the electoral college certification. Yet thousands on X say otherwise.

Likewise, although Enrique Tarrio is certainly a friend of mine, I know nothing about his involvement in any illegal activity. That said, I told Tarrio that if claims that he tore down a BLM flag from a church were true, I disagreed strongly about them because of my commitment to free speech and free expression.

Equally false are claims that I met with Enrique Tarrio in the days preceding January 6th. Also false are irresponsible claims that I met or communicated with Oath Keepers leaders Stewart Rhodes prior to January 6th. In fact, I have never met Rhodes nor communicated with him. “Journalists” on X or elsewhere who state otherwise are hereby put on notice: Anyone with the balls to attach their name to these false charges may well be subject to lawsuit. I speak here of known scumbag and congenital liar Seth Abramson.

The feds made a swift example of Tarrio because of his leadership of the Proud Boys, a group that was widely vilified for their willingness to protect MAGA activists against leftist violence in the streets during the first Trump Administration.

Although I never left my hotel grounds on January 6 and was not at the Capitol, I could see from news coverage that the Proud Boys were certainly present during January 6 and the “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington D.C. following the 2020 presidential election and made no apologies about their beliefs that the election had been stolen. By the way, every American has a First Amendment free speech right to express such a view.

Tarrio received a 22-year prison sentence despite not appearing in the U.S. Capitol or even in Washington D.C. on January 6. Tarrio was apprehended on January 4th on separate charges and given a court order to stay away from the Capitol that day, a ruling in which he fully complied.

As stated previously, Tarrio was convicted of seditious conspiracy based on a memo sent to him on Telegram by an FBI informant, which outlined a plan to occupy federal buildings. There is no evidence that Tarrio ever even opened the document. It is essential that new Attorney General Pam Bondi bring the prosecutors who handled Tarrio’s case, including the FBI informant involved, before a grand jury to explain their actions. Strangely, the government provided no other evidence of Tarrio’s involvement in seditious conspiracy beyond this memo planted in his Telegram feed by an FBI informant.

As I learned in my own trial in D.C., the entire federal court system there is infected with politics and among the judges, prosecutors and jurors in the D.C. system, the Constitution, the law, the rules, the facts, and the constitutional rights of individual citizens are meaningless. The conviction of Enrique Tarrio is just another example of this undisputed fact.

Nevertheless, Tarrio was painted as a conspirator who plotted the alleged insurrection on the U.S. Capitol because he was a passive participant in group chats where others supposedly expressed violent sentiments.

“The Justice Department proved in court that the Proud Boys played a central role in setting the January 6th attack on our Capitol into motion. Over the past week, four members of the Proud Boys received sentences that reflect the danger their crimes pose to our democracy,” Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland said according to a DOJ press release, adding that “the leader of the Proud Boys, Enrique Tarrio, learned that the consequence of conspiring to oppose by force the lawful transfer of presidential power is 22 years in federal prison.”

In his successful appeal to President Trump for a pardon for Enrique Tarrio, his attorney wrote: “After his sentencing, Enrique has been relocated from multiple federal and private prison facilities which have placed him in special housing unit (“SHU”) for most of his time in custody. The significance of being placed in the SHU is important because Enrique has been housed where he can only see the outside of his cell for one (1) hour per day.

Tarrio’s case is bigger than just rectifying a heinous injustice against one single patriot. Tarrio was crucified by the Biden administration because he had the audacity to organize the Proud Boys, a group that has been viciously maligned and defamed on a nationwide basis because their members had the courage to stand up against ANTIFA terrorists and refused to be bullied by the Soros-funded Left. At their peak, the Proud Boys were a major impediment to the planned destruction of the U.S. Republic that was in full force during the age of Obama and his anti-white ‘Black Lives Matter’ pogroms.

The recent acquittal of Marine Corps veteran Daniel Penny – who protected himself and other subway passengers from a volatile, mentally ill man who was menacing those in the subway car on which they all rode – shows that our judicial system is not entirely corrupted by politics and occasionally defendants like Kyle Rittenhouse and Daniel Penny are acquitted in a fair trial, fair trials are rare. At the same time, the false claims against Derek Chauvin are allowed to stand.

President Trump’s overwhelming victory in the 2024 presidential election was a wholesale rejection by the American people of the false narratives that surrounded Jan. 6. The nonstop propaganda machine surrounding January 6, meant to paint Trump as a terrorist and sink his chances at a political comeback, failed spectacularly and backfired. Now comes the time to rehabilitate the individuals and groups who were unfairly demonized during this period of anti-MAGA repression, a stain on our nation’s history that must be aggressively rectified.

Prior to the 2024 election, Attorney General Merrick Garland – an Attorney General so corrupt he makes John Mitchell look like St. Thomas Aquinas – has repeated the lie that “Five police officers died at the Capitol on January 6th.”

In fact, the only two murders at the Capitol on January 6th were those of unarmed, decorated Air Force veteran Ashli Babbitt, who was shot without warning and killed in cold blood by Capitol police officer Michael Byrd, despite the fact that she was menacing no one. Michael Byrd must be stripped of the medal that he was given for this heinous act of murder and must be prosecuted. The other person killed was Trump supporter Rosanne Boyland, who was gleefully bludgeoned to death by Capitol Hill police officer Lila Morris – another medal recipient. The medical examiner whose autopsy claimed that Boyland died of a drug overdose must also be summoned to the grand jury to explain this egregious lie. Justice cries out in both these cases, and we must pray that a new Justice Department will examine both of these murders and bring the murderers to justice.

An even bigger scandal than the trumped-up charges and draconian sentences of nonviolent victims of the vicious D.C. prosecutors, is the fetid conditions of the D.C. jail where prisoners were denied medical attention for life-threatening illness, were denied potable water, and dealt endlessly with backed up toilets, literally living in sewage. Complaints about the inhumane conditions which actually violate the Geneva Conventions brought beatings and food laced with cleaning agents and maggots. Officials at the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be held responsible for this inhumane treatment which is so profoundly anti-American.
